Having played recently in Orlando, Fla.,at the International Pool Tour’s “King of theHill” tournament, I present in Diagram 1one of the 8-ball layouts I faced. My firstchoice with an open table was whether tochoose stripes or solids. After looking thetable over, it was clear that neither sidewould be easy to run out.
